About Us

History

North Coast Black Bass Anglers Association (NCBBAA) was established in 2001.  NCBBAA is a 501.C3 non-profit organization registered with the state of Ohio; the application is pending before the Federal Government.

NCBBAA was brought into inception after several fishing friends from an existing club decided to organize a new association based on the high ideals of sportsmanship and camaraderie.  The organization through inclusion, not exclusion, is one of the few predominately African-American bass fishing associations in the country.

North Coast Black Bass Anglers Association holds monthly bass fishing tournaments for its members at different lakes in Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio from April through October.  In addition, NCBBAA participates in a variety of youth sponsored events, community and family activities each year.

In 2006, NCBBAA EARNED TBF, INC’s, OHIO BASS FEDERATION CLUB OF THE YEAR AWARD.  TO ACHIEVE THIS HONOR WE FINISHED 1ST PLACE IN YOUTH PROJECTS, 1ST PLACE SPECIAL TOURNAMENTS OR EVENTS, 1ST PLACE PUBLIC RELATIONS AND 2ND PLACE FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE. AGAIN IN 2007 AND 2008, NCBBAA WAS AWARDED 1ST PLACE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE AND 1ST PLACE IN YOUTH PROJECTS.

NCBBAA is an active member of the FLW, the Bass Federation, Inc., and the Ohio BASS Federation.

The organization has a diverse membership who share the values of fish and water conservation, good sportsmanship and friendship.
